Manchester Food and Drink Festival 2009

This year’s Manchester Food and Drink Festival was held 1st - 12th October, bringing together the best of our city’s gastronomic talent. Events took place across at venues Manchester, celebrating the wonders of eating and drinking.

The Modern Caterer, as always, held a diverse and interesting selection of events in both Gabriel’s Kitchen and at the Whitworth Art Gallery.

Palestinian Evening

Join as at Gabriel’s Kitchen for a celebration of Palestinian food, drink, and culture. We have invited a guest speaker along from Zaytoun Olive Oil Company to discuss Palestinian produce and have created a menu inspired by Palestinian and Middle Eastern cuisine.
Tickets £15 per head. Booking essential.

In the magnificent setting of Victoria Baths, Gabriel’s Kitchen will be teaming up with the local community to bring you an afternoon of family fun and activities, celebrating a good old-fashioned British Summer Time (in the middle of October!) Come and enjoy traditional British sea side fodder, puppet theatre and our indoor beach – the only thing missing will be the water!

The Real Food Fair 2009

Now in its fourth year, the Real Food Fair returns the grounds of the Whitworth Art Gallery to celebrate some of the North West’s finest artisan producers. Come and join us for a family friendly day with cooking demonstrations, children’s workshops and our legendary annual chocolate cake competition, sponsored by Divine Chocolate, with some fantastic prizes to be won.
